About
Rebecca Gilling is an artist, craftswoman and plasterer who creates bespoke sculpture & design works in clay, cob and lime plaster in both traditional and contemporary styles. She also does traditional pargeting (sometimes spelt pargetting), both internally and externally.
Rebecca studied Modelmaking at the Arts University Bournemouth and worked as a prop maker in the events industry for 9 years. She recently completed the Prince’s Foundation’s Building Craft Programme where, after gaining experience in timber framing, woodcarving and natural building, she specialised in sculptural and decorative plasterwork. Rebecca has since gone on to complete various work and work placements with prestigious companies like Philip Gaches, Cliveden Conservation ad Hayles & Howe, to name a few. She is now predominantly based in Devon, but will travel for the right job.
